That’s how long I’ve been head down, blinders on, working my tail off with styling jobs. Of course, this means I haven’t been hanging out here on the blog all that much. So I thought I would drop in to say “hi”, I miss you and here’s what I’ve been up to!

A majority of my time has been spent with Loloi Rugs, Magnolia Home and most of Magnolia’s brand partners (Kilz, Standard Furniture, the Meredith corporation for the magazine!). Sprinkled in-between those jobs were a couple video shoots with World Market, a full catalog shoot with local furniture retailer, Erdos at Home, some jewelry creatives with Zale’s and a bit of art directing to boot (not my usual thing). Like I said… it’s been busy!! There were some gorgeous locations, buckets and buckets (and buckets!) of flowers, antique rentals, construction sets, walkie-talkies, 12 hours days in the blazing Texas sun (more than one), massive sound studios with countless set builds, pretty tablescapes, brass flatware (more on that story later) and some of the best crews around.

Here are some behind-the-scenes snaps, if you’re curious.

I never would have anticipated this, especially not so soon after becoming a mama, but I’ve travelled more in the past six months than I did in the past year and a half. Wowza!! Most weeks my “office” changes daily. I’m out shopping and prepping one day, shooting on location the next and then managing receipts and wrap back at home after that. I’m learning, despite the craziness of it, that I kinda like it that way. Always changing, always evolving, keeping me on my toes and out of my head. It’s becoming my groove.

Speaking of which… I gotta run! A list of props for tomorrow’s ad shoot with Loloi is waiting to be found. Ciao for now!
