Ask Me a Style Question

So, here’s the thing. I get style questions from friends and family fairly often. Makes sense. I write a style blog after all. And I’m always asking myself how I can be more helpful to my readers and listeners. So, I’ve decided to try something new.

I’m opening the mic, just for you, to answer the questions that are puzzling you most in the realms of fashion, home and personal style. Don’t worry about how big or small, personal or generic they are… I just want to know what’s on your mind (decoratively, that is) and how I can help.

The plan is to take your questions to the podcast and answer them directly and candidly. Simply send me a voice message below – or any other time through the banner to the right – and then tune into the podcast to hear your answer.

I think this is going to be really fun!

So we are about to embark on decorating the nursery for our baby that is due in January. The tricky part is, she will be sharing our room with us for the foreseeable future. Do you have any tips or tricks to make nursery decor grown-up-friendly for a master bedroom/nursery combo? We are open to all styles and colors!

How fun, I have several questions!:

What to do with high ceilings and big, open wall spaces….to hang or not to hang?

How to smoothly add pops of color to mostly gray walls and darker furniture schemes?

Decor or color tips for a breakfast nook?

Any tips on fashion flats for businesswomen? It’s hard not to feel frumpy (it’s a word, right?) at times, especially already being on the shorter side!

Rugs! Any tips here, I always struggle with shape, size, color, etc.

Tips on decorating a small office with easy-to-care-for plants?

We just hit week 20th of pregnancy and I still am not sure where to start on the nursery. The room will need to be painted and of course we have no furniture. How do you decorate a room from scratch? Where do you start?
