Can you believe this day has finally come? The day that I finally, FINALLY publish a new Style Story! I bet the Werner family certainly can’t believe it. We spent the most wonderful day together over homemade brunch, garden tours, chicken introductions, impromptu rock concerts, and the like. But that was way back in the Summer when the idea of wearing a knit sweater was the farthest thing from our minds. Now we’re well into November and wearing much more than just a single sweater. Hello, Alaskan cold front! If you ask me, it couldn’t be better timing really. What better time to take a break from our freezing temps and venture back to a sunshiny day in July with the Werner family.
As with so many of the sweet families and homes I visit, the Werner’s abode was scattered with mementos and treasures representing their wide array of hobbies and interests. Robbie, being a professional baker had her fair share of influence in the kitchen while Adam’s artwork could be found in thought-provoking groupings throughout the house. A corner full of musical instruments for the whole family paid homage to Adam’s former days as a musician while a backyard soccer field played off of his love for the sport. Add in a coop full of chickens that the whole family cares for, sprawling garden plots that youngest son Asher has taken particular interest in, and two wonderfully colorful rooms for daughters Amaris and Paige and you’ve got the Werner household.
Now, let’s take a peek…
Wasn’t that lovely? And so worth the wait. If the stars align once again, you just might hear the Werner’s podcast before the end of the week too. Fingers crossed, my friends. Fingers crossed!
