PLACE: East Dallas
WORK: (Jacob) Software engineer, (Maryam) Co-founder at Pouf, A Blow-out Salon
STORY: Life in the Salassi household is a playful yin and yang of tech and art. Jacob is a software engineer and cyclist and Maryam is a co-founder at Pouf (a blow-out salon), former art teacher, sometimes photographer, and blogger at Hi and Hello. The two have created a cozy, colorful home and lifestyle in East Dallas for their daughter Margaux and completely swooned me in the process. First of all, I just have to say kudos to them on the colorful walls throughout their home!! How many people have the guts to use shades of acid green and neon coral? Not many, that’s for sure! But I am totally in love with the results. We spent the afternoon touring their home, hanging out in the yard with popsicles and blow-bubbles, and talking about travel and children’s books… Every kid (and photographer’s) dream. Join me below on a tour of their Style Story. I think you’ll fall in love by the end too.
And, as always, don’t forget to come by at the end of the week for their podcast interview! You can expect to hear Maryam share bits about her childhood growing up in Guam, her favorite children’s books and authors, and tips on navigating the first stages of a new business. Hope to see you then!
