This weekend symbolizes the beginning of the Summer season and I couldn’t be more excited about it. For me, Summer is all about the following things…
skirts and dresses – long days – bare legs – cool drinks – bright colors
A couple weeks ago, Catie and I talked about the importance of trying new things and not overdoing it with too much of one style. This really hit home for me as I have a tendency to gravitate towards the same kind of thing time and time again. My personal favorite? Full skirts that hit mid-calf and nip in at the natural waist. So, as a challenge to myself and to celebrate the beginning of Summer, I took some cues from Catie and tried a new skirt shape. Oh yeah, and I got a new top. “Shop for the outfit”, right?
Here’s to Summer and stepping out of our comfort zones more often! (It only freaked me out a little.)
