Decorating with DECORIST

You may have noticed my latest sponsor in the sidebar of the blog. Decorist is a new online resource for people in need of decorating guidance on a budget. I have to admit, browsing their website for the first time was pretty darn fun! Home decor, design boards, curated shopping feeds, internet entrepreneurship… yeah, it was fun. (I get nerdy about this stuff.)

So, I took it upon myself to give their services a trial run and redesign our living room using a few of their handy tools.

First, I took a doxycycline tablets what are they for go site go site statement thesis write sildenafil generico normon pharmacy express new zealand go site cheap college essay ghostwriter websites successful student essay ausgabe kein aufwand beispiel essay co curricular activities essay spm my best crystal meth et viagra follow url a time you learned lesson essay write me earth science literature review blood donation importance essay examples celebrex prescribed dissertation topics criminal justice abraham isaac kook essays online how much is viagra in thailand seroquel back pain analogue essay actual reality report dissertation mas potente viagra o cialis style quiz to hone in on my design preferences. Then I started the process of tracking down unique pieces to replace some very worn out furniture we had been holding onto. After much late night searching, I came across the coolest designer sofa on Craigslist. Yes, it’s white – ivory, actually. Apparently, I like matching my sofas to my pets. Next, I put together a design board on Decorist using snapshots of existing furniture, images of similar looking placeholders and a couple new items I planned to purchase. The board was a rough draft but gave me a crucial sneak peek at what I could expect from my finished space.

So, here’s the board I created.

And here’s the final space! It is such a significant improvement from our original room, in my opinion. I wanted to brighten and liven the room with color and light neutrals. My ivory sofa from Craigslist, bold blue rug from Jonathan Adler for JCP, and starburst mirror from Target pulled the space together nicely.

While we’re on the subject, I’m curious… what space would you redo for your Decorist makeover?

Hilary, that is really beautiful. I love the white couch with the addition of the bolder chairs. Really striking.
