She does a pretty amazing job of sharing her own message. But for the sake of context, I’ll at least share the basics.

Her name is Ruthie Lindsey, she’s from South Louisiana and is now a well-established Nashvillian. Her pup’s name is Ellie, she has a Southern drawl that melts like honey, she likes sunsets and picnics and creative collaborating. She’s a decorator and stylist and all-around beauty maker and yet she’s seen a great deal of heartache, tragedy, and difficulty. Life hasn’t always been easy or pretty. Conversations with her are open and honest and include lots of love. Perhaps most importantly though, she lives a daily message of pain and purpose, brokenness and beauty. (Just follow her on Instagram. You’ll know what I’m talking about.)

I visited her East Nashville home last month and sat down over chilled water in mason jars to chat about her style, business, and personal journey. Join me on a tour of our time together below.

Ruthie mentioned that she often visits BP weekly, if not daily. She wasn’t kidding! We ran into multiple friends and acquaintances during our coffee break. I couldn’t help but smile.

In the meantime, shop a few goodies inspired by Ruthie’s look:
