A bright, shining smile and cheerful greeting! It’s the same every time. Amanda has a beautifully reliable cheerfulness about her. She’s a lover and a giver. We met for the first time over a year ago when Amanda invited me to be a guest on her blog for a series she calls “Coffee With”. Not long after, Amanda also helped me with my head shots and promo photos for the launch of this blog. Many months later and several more coffee dates behind us, we also worked together on a tour of Fort Worth for Rue Magazine‘s February 2014 issue. Turns out, Amanda is an incredibly talented photographer and business woman! So why is it that I’m just now getting around to photographing Amanda in her home? Good question.
Truth be told, I originally photographed Amanda a little less than a year ago while I was still making preparations to launch Our Style Stories. But before I was able to launch the new blog and publish her story, Amanda made some big changes to her home. Like any good creative collaborator, Amanda knows when to rely on another creative’s strengths to get the job done. She had a vision for a bright, beautiful home that would suite both her and musician husband Tyler’s lifestyle better than it currently was but needed an expert to come in and help execute that vision. Enter our mutual friend Lauren Kelp, interior stylist extraordinaire. (did you notice her pretty face in my sidebar?) Lauren came to the rescue and karate chopped her way around Amanda and Tyler’s home with her mad interior skills and came out on the other end of what sounded like a really fun process with a gorgeously reinterpreted home. Needless to say, Amanda and I rescheduled our photo shoot to take advantage of their new home look. And now it’s finally time to share the reveal with you. Aren’t you excited?! Amanda’s style is as vibrant and joyful as she is and reflects the harmonious lifestyle that she and her husband share in Fort Worth.
Join me on a walk through her home today and come back tomorrow to hear our conversation about her work, personal life, and redecorating process.
Have some fun… Shop a look inspired by Amanda’s style!
See you back here soon for the rest of Amanda’s story!
