The age old decorating question.

When I first started today’s post, which was inspired by this irresistibly cozy corner of Dave and Krista‘s guest bedroom, I thought I knew where I stood on decorative pillows. All in moderation – enough to soften and decorate without swallowing and smothering. But then I started shopping around online for cute pillows to include in the post and, I have to say, I may have to eat my words. (If there are any guys out there reading this, indulge me for a minute. It’s time for some pillow talk).

There are so many adorable pillows out there!! Seriously, how can you resist such a quick and easy way to add color and pattern to a room? Or shape and texture? Or graphics and illustration? Or basically any design trend that your heart wishes. It is a low-cost, high impact solution that I am now totally a fan of.

But how about you? What’s your stance on decorative pillows? Are these gorgeous pillows making you wish you had more sofa space and chair choices to pile even more styles onto? Or do you prefer the more minimalist approach of a carefully curate one or two?

As for me I think you know where I stand. I love, love, love pillows. But i do think one can have too many. I personally like a variety of different ones and am not fond of the ones that tie in a piece of fabric from the couch….too match matchy I like there to be variety in color size and tex ture. Great selection you found!!!And great post Hilary
