Dressed for Fall

Maybe’s it’s the recent coverage of Fashion Week that’s flooding the internet or could be inspiration from the adorable outfits  Chantal modeled in her Style Story a couple weeks ago. Either way, I’m having so much fun with fashion these days. After all, Fall is here and it almost goes without saying that clothing becomes a bit more layered and interesting. I took some time over the weekend to weed out unwanted clothing from my wardrobe, resurrect a few rarely worn pieces from the back of my closet, and pick up a handful of new “threads” at my local thrift store.

Upon reflection, here are a few key fashion conclusions I’ve come to.

  1. Corduroy is THE perfect substitute for jeans in the Fall.
  2. Metallic shoes add a fresh element of surprise to an outfit.
  3. Orange, blush pink, navy, and pewter are my new favorite color choices.

Corduroy pants are my favorite! Those are such a nice color. I also like the metallic shoes. It’s about time I found some, my last pair of metallic flats wore out last spring.

Oh yes! It’s time for a new pair, Melissa. I love metallic heels for this Fall. They look great with a worn in pair of jeans or flouncy skirt.
